The first to benefit from the initiative will be fast-growing startups such as Highspot, Squirro and TalkIQ, and Salesforce Ventures has also invested in All Turtles, an IA startup that partners with teams and companies to create products that use artificial intelligence.
In addition, Einstein IA, the company's proprietary solution, has been incorporated with advanced AI capabilities across the platform, transforming users' experiences across all touch points. Currently, the service delivers more than 475 million forecasts daily, giving more intelligence, productivity and predictability to cutting-edge companies.
The Einstein platform allows developers to create AI-powered CRM apps, using computational view and NLP. The company already has more than 7,000 developers creating apps powered by Einstein, and Salesforce Research is focused on developing advanced solutions in deep learning. The group, under the leadership of scientists Dr. Richard Socher, has published 10 papers in its first year, and the technology is made available to Salesforce customers.
For John Somorjai, executive vice president of corporate development for Salesforce Ventures, "artificial intelligence has the potential to bring more intelligence, speed, efficiency and productivity to any business," and the new "Salesforce AI Investment Fund will help to accelerate the development of transformative AI solutions that extend and complement Salesforce, helping our customers achieve new levels of success.
